Setting the Children Free (Why We’re Running Another Race for Freedom)

I should give fair warning that the following post is about Operation Underground Railroad and some of the tough things I have realized and that have been revealed to me. (As a reference to this post – our DONATION LINK is HERE).

I’ve written about this a before, but this is something that needs to be known and stopped, and so I am writing about it again.

When we ran that first campaign for Operation Underground Railroad last year (as a reminder, OUR exists to rescue children from human trafficking), I discovered things I had never known before.

I discovered that children were being sold into slavery.

Countless, innocent children don’t know what it’s like to be a part of a family, live a normal life, be free, or be loved.  They live in submission to others their entire lives as slaves to whoever would please to purchase them for pleasure.

Once you know these things, you can never “un-know” them.

A lot of people think it’s better not to think about these horrible types of things that happen in our world, but if we don’t think about them, how will they ever be stopped?  Sure, it’s REALLY HARD to think about what these children are going through, but we were not called to turn a blind eye.

We were called to action – and that’s exactly what OUR is doing.

As someone who has been on a missions’ trip and seen some of the hardships others face, I can tell you that every little thing we do helps.

Every prayer, action, smile, and gift – they ALL matter.

You don’t have to do something huge to make a difference.  All you have to do is listen to God’s prompting and trust him with the rest.

So, why are we running this campaign again?  Because this is something we are called to do at this time.  We have a heart for the children, and a passion to end this injustice.

Any prayers, time, or gifts you can offer are worth far more than you know.

Listen to your heart, listen and respond to what the Lord is telling you, and let him do the rest – you’ll be absolutely amazed when you do.

Until next time,

Hope Frances
